Gary A. “Tony”
McCurdy
Tony was born in 1973 at King’s Daughters Hospital in Frankfort, Kentucky.
He was raised in Frankfort by his parents Gary and Anna. They taught him
Kentucky values from an early age. His father is an Army veteran, and taught
him the values of hard work and the importance of defending the liberties we
enjoy as Americans. Tony used these values to start his own business,
McCurdy’s Locksmith, in 1995. He has worked hard to build a successful
family business which is now known as McCurdy’s Electronic Security. Tony
currently enjoys operating the family business and half of his staff are
veterans.
Tony is a lifelong resident of the sixth district, and graduated from
Western Hills High School in 1991. He earned a baseball scholarship to
college, but had to leave school when he lost his scholarship due to a
career ending injury. After leaving Western Kentucky University at the age
of 22, he returned home and started his own business.
Tony is an avid sportsman who believes in conservation, and enjoys hunting
and fishing. Tony holds a concealed carry permit, is an NRA member, and is a
strong believer in the second amendment. He also earned his Private Pilot’s
License in 2003.
Tony is a lifelong member of Graefenburg Baptist Church, and has been
married to the former Sharon Nowlin since 2000. They currently live and work
